BARBECUE PROTEST

Scarlet Rescue is an all-vegan punk/alternative band fronted by activist, writer, and professor Lisa Barca, who wrote the upbeat and snarky “Barbecue Protest” in support of vegans everywhere in every season, who find themselves surrounded by the hollow norms of a speciesist culture.

SEEING HER
BEING HER

"Seeing Her Being Her" tells three interlocking stories of oppression through a feminist and anti-speciesist lens. The music and the video call on all vegans and future-vegans to uncover the injustices around us, to create a better world with a determined spirit.

KEYCARD TO HELL

"Keycard to Hell” is a raucous punk song in protest of vivisection and in solidarity with animals in laboratories. Free them all!

To help spread our demand for an end to animal testing, watch, comment on, and like the video, and you can take action by supporting this campaign to release non-human primates subjected to barbaric experiments at ASU: www.change.org/p/michael-crow-end-vivisection-on-primates-at-arizona-state-university.

"Shiny knives, and glistening doors
They cry for mercy but you cut them more
No one without a keycard can go down those stairs
There are monkeys in the basement
it’s cold down there....."

REGAN’S SONG

Regan Russell's life inspires activists for animal liberation around the world. She was dedicated to being a voice for animals, disobeying unjust laws that would keep the violence of animal exploitation out of the public eye.

At innumerable vigils, Regan bore witness to the suffering of nonhuman animals, providing them with water as one final act of love before their brutal murders.

On the morning of June 19, 2020, Regan was struck and killed by a truck that was transporting pigs into a slaughterhouse. Activists who witnessed the scene called for a comprehensive investigation and the filing of felony charges.

Vigils have been held around the world to remember Regan and the victims she stood up for, and to decry the brutality and criminal complacency of the "animal agriculture" system which kills millions of animals every day. It is to honor Regan and to continue her fight that we send our music video "Regan's Song (Go Vegan for Regan)" out to the world on September 17, 2020.
